Post-Doctoral Research Fellow - Chromatin Regulator and Immune Interaction in Blood Cancers, Lab of Jianping Li
About The Position
The laboratory of Dr. Jianping Li at Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center (SKCCC) at Thomas Jefferson University (TJU) is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow. The lab focuses on the role of chromatin regulators and immune interaction in blood cancers, specifically in the initiation of acute lymphoblastic leukemia and lymphoma, relapse, and chemotherapy resistance. Research involves exploring mutant chromatin regulators-driven phenotypes and molecular mechanisms using various models and cutting-edge technologies such as CUT&RUN, ChIP-Seq, single-cell RNA-Seq, ATAC-Seq, Hi-C, proteomics, drug screening, flow cytometry and sorting, and CRISPR editing and screening.
Requirements
- Recent PhD or MD or PhD/MD in biochemistry and molecular biology, bioinformatics, computational biology, hematology, immunology, cancer biology, or related fields.
- Strong interest in chromatin regulation, cancer epigenetics, stem cell biology, immune interaction, and developing targeted therapy.
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic.

Responsibilities
- Conduct research on chromatin regulators and immune interaction in blood cancers.
- Investigate molecular mechanisms of mutant chromatin regulators-driven phenotypes.
- Utilize cell lines, conditional mouse models, and patient-derived xenografts (PDXs).
- Employ technologies such as CUT&RUN, ChIP-Seq, single-cell RNA-Seq, ATAC-Seq, Hi-C, proteomics, drug screening, flow cytometry and sorting, and CRISPR editing and screening.
- Contribute to the energetic research group and develop into an independent scientist.
