About The Position

The Institute for Translational Medicine and Pharmacology is seeking a Post Doctoral Fellow to perform organic synthesis of novel FSHR inhibitors identified through AI-driven drug discovery. The role involves conducting structural and photophysical characterization of these compounds using various analytical techniques, developing and validating bimodal luminescent–MRI theranostic agents, and assessing in vitro receptor binding and cellular uptake. The fellow will also collaborate with an in vivo research team to evaluate lead compounds in murine models of Alzheimer’s disease. This training program aims to provide advanced expertise in medicinal chemistry, chemical biology, photophysics, and neuropharmacology, preparing the individual for an independent career in translational biomedical research.

Requirements

  • PhD
  • Completion of PhD program in relevant subject matter

Responsibilities

  • Performing organic synthesis of novel FSHR inhibitors identified through AI-driven drug discovery.
  • Conducting structural and photophysical characterization of these compounds using NMR, HPLC, HRMS, fluorescence spectroscopy, and MRI relaxivity assays.
  • Developing and validating bimodal luminescent–MRI theranostic agents conjugated to FSHR inhibitors.
  • Assessing in vitro receptor binding, neuronal uptake, and signaling inhibition in relevant cellular models.
  • Collaborating with the in vivo research team to evaluate the preclinical efficacy of lead compounds in murine models of Alzheimer’s disease, including blood–brain barrier permeability, receptor engagement, and cognitive outcomes.
