About The Position

The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Post Doctoral Fellow to engage in basic and translational research projects focused on the study of the mechanism of reduction of adiposity induced by an FSH antibody. The role involves using mouse models to investigate the effects of specific gene deletions in adipocytes, osteoclasts, or osteoblasts on fat and bone cells. This will be achieved through cell phenotyping, in vitro and ex vivo functional assays, histomorphometry, micro-CT, quantitative NMR, and molecular biology techniques to understand how FSH inhibition impacts adipose tissue and bone.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in basic and translational research projects focused on the study of mechanism of reduction of adiposity induced by an FSH antibody.

  • Investigate the effect of gene deletions on fat and bone cells by cell phenotyping, in vitro and/or ex vivo functional assays.
