McLean Hospital is a comprehensive psychiatric hospital committed to providing easy access to superior quality, cost-effective mental health services. Since 1811, McLean Hospital has been a world leader in the treatment of mental illness and chemical dependency, research into the cause of mental illness and the training of generations of mental health care providers. McLean's multidisciplinary programs treat a broad range of psychiatric illnesses across the full continuum of care. This role will work independently and under the supervision of Shifali Singh, PhD, a licensed Clinical Neuropsychologist and Assistant Professor at McLean and Harvard Medical School. As part of the Digital Neuropsychology and Brain Health Laboratory, the post-doctoral fellow will have the unique opportunity to interact with our industry partners and patients with complex psychiatric and cognitive disorders. Our lab aims to develop novel, innovative approaches for measuring everyday cognition at scale by leveraging digital technologies. This includes everyday measures of cognition, speech, mood, and activity through wearables and other technologies that capture biometric data. Ideally, this candidate would want to grow their career in our lab, with opportunities to lead high-impact projects with our industry partners. All McLean team members are expected to consistently demonstrate our values of integrity, compassion, respect, diversity, teamwork, excellence and innovation in their work activities and interactions. A post-doctoral fellow typically holds dual affiliations at McLean Hospital and Harvard Medical School. There are many opportunities for education and growth in our multidisciplinary, collaborative research environment at McLean Hospital that brings together a diverse group of scientists, clinicians, and statisticians.
