About The Position

The Laboratory of Dr. Wei Sun is inviting applications for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join his research program in the Department of Immunology & Microbial Diseases at Albany Medical College. Ongoing projects focus on the cellular and molecular regulation of lung immune responses during vaccination with bacterial outer membrane vesicle (OMV)-based vaccines and infection with respiratory pathogens, including Yersinia pestis and Streptococcus pneumoniae, using murine models. The laboratory offers a supportive and collaborative research environment that fosters scientific independence and professional growth. The Postdoctoral Fellow will also benefit from strong training opportunities and integration into the vibrant scientific community across the Albany Medical System.

Requirements

• Recent PhD in Immunology, Bacterial Pathogenesis, or a related discipline in the Biological Sciences.
• Strong track record of peer-reviewed publications.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in multi-parameter flow cytometry.
• Familiarity with murine models of infection.

Responsibilities
