Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a Post-doc Fellow, Global Market Access Analytics, RWE and Health Economics to join our company located in Raritan, New Jersey. This position is a member of the Global Market Access team. We are seeking a highly motivated, conscientious and diligent scientist, who is flexible, dynamic, and able to work with autonomy to drive their individual project forward while also contributing to the group as an integral team member. The Postdoctoral Fellow will receive comprehensive trainings on conducting real-world evidence research and developing economic models by our internal experts and understand their application in market access and reimbursement decisions around the world. He/she will work with the team members and other market access functions to:

Requirements

  • Candidates must have a recent or expected Doctorate Degree (e.g., Ph.D.) in Economics/Health Economics, Statistics/Biostatistics, Mathematics, Epidemiology, Health Services Research, or other relevant program with strong quantitative trainings.
  • The candidate must be self-motivated, productive, and team-oriented, with proven scientific problem-solving skills with an interest in the international context of healthcare systems and health technology assessment.
  • The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Independence, creativity, and critical thinking to challenge ideas are needed.
  • The ability to work well in collaborative, cross-functional teams is required.
  • A strong alignment with ethical principles in Our Credo and a desire to be vital within a company where people care about patients and want to make a difference in global healthcare is essential.

Nice To Haves

  • The preferred candidate has strong computer skills with Excel (including VBA programming) and SAS and/or R with excellent understanding of statistics or econometrics.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct literature and/or database reviews related to Health Technology Assessment (HTA) including health economic evaluations and cost-effectiveness analyses as well as real-world evidence research.
  • Design and develop real-world evidence research and health economic models to conduct cost-effectiveness and budget impact analyses and/or HTA (predictive) analyses/ models.
  • Develop health economic models using Microsoft Excel with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and/or R.
  • Draft research protocols, statistical analysis plan and perform statistical analyses (e.g., descriptive statistics and regression analyses) using SAS and/or R
  • Develop study reports, abstract and manuscripts
  • Create and deliver presentations for a diverse audience

Benefits

  • The anticipated base pay range for this position is $92,000-$148,350.00
  • The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs.
  • Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.
  • The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year.
  • Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
  • Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
  • This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
  • Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
  • Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
  • Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
  • Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
  • Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period
  • Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year
  • Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
