Requirements

  • Background in environmental science, biology, ecology, wildlife management, or a related field
  • Interest in outdoor work and environmental conservation
  • Physically capable of driving long distances in rural areas and using field equipment across uneven terrain
  • Comfortable working independently in remote outdoor settings
  • Strong attention to detail and data collection accuracy
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Responsibilities

  • Conduct post-construction avian and bat mortality surveys at a wind energy facility in Montana
  • Identify, document, and catalog wildlife species observed during field surveys
  • Collect and manage environmental field data while maintaining accurate and detailed records
  • Perform fieldwork in a variety of outdoor environments and weather conditions, including a remote location and varying terrain
  • Requires travel during working days, with overnight stays
  • Work collaboratively with the project team while also working independently in the field
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety and professionalism on the project
  • Support environmental compliance and conservation initiatives within the renewable energy industry
