About The Position

Positively Partners delivers integrated, people-centered consulting services to social impact organizations. Our services include recruitment, HR outsourcing, and consulting on people practices related to compensation, employee engagement, and inclusion. Founded by nonprofit leaders in 2016, we help social sector organizations access high-quality, inclusion-focused HR services essential to achieving their missions. We’re a team of learners, HR professionals, and equity practitioners committed to helping employees thrive in support of their organization’s mission. Our home bases are in Boston, MA and Washington, DC, with a remote team across the United States, allowing us to deliver services through a mix of in-person and virtual channels. At Positively Partners, we believe organizations achieve greater impact when their leadership, people, and organizational systems work together intentionally. As a Principal Consultant, Organizational Effectiveness, you will serve as a trusted advisor to nonprofit executives, partnering with leaders to solve complex organizational challenges and build stronger, healthier workplaces. You’ll lead consulting engagements spanning organizational effectiveness, leadership development, organizational design, employee engagement, performance enablement, workforce planning, change management, and HR strategy. Unlike many consulting firms, our work doesn’t end when recommendations are delivered. We partner with organizations to implement solutions, build capability, and help leaders and employees adopt new ways of working that create lasting results. We measure success not only by the quality of our recommendations, but by the outcomes our clients achieve. This role sits within CARE, Positively Partners' consulting practice, where we partner with organizations to strengthen culture, leadership, talent, and organizational effectiveness through project-based consulting engagements. As Positively Partners has grown, CARE has become increasingly integrated with PositivelyHR, bringing specialized consulting expertise into our outsourced HR partnerships while continuing to serve organizations through standalone consulting engagements. As a Principal Consultant, you will lead a portfolio of consulting engagements from discovery through implementation, serving as the primary relationship owner for CARE consulting projects. Your portfolio will include both specialized consulting engagements delivered in partnership with PositivelyHR clients and standalone consulting engagements with new and existing organizations, requiring close collaboration across service lines to deliver integrated, high-impact solutions that reflect the full breadth of our expertise. Many consulting engagements occur alongside broader partnerships delivered through PositivelyHR, our subscription-based outsourced HR service providing embedded HR leadership, systems, compliance, payroll administration, and day-to-day people support. In these cases, you will partner closely with the PositivelyHR relationship leader to ensure consulting engagements complement and strengthen the client's broader strategic partnership with Positively Partners. Over the past decade, Positively Partners has developed evidence-based methodologies grounded in Positive Organizational Scholarship, Positive Psychology, and our experience partnering with hundreds of nonprofit organizations. Consultants learn and apply these proven approaches while continually contributing ideas that strengthen and evolve our practice. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, CARE, this role serves as one of Positively Partners’ senior consulting leaders. Success is measured by the strength of your client relationships, achievement of annual consulting revenue goals, client satisfaction and repeat business, and the measurable organizational impact of the solutions you implement.
