About The Position

Anduril’s real estate portfolio includes 10 million square feet of research and development labs, manufacturing hubs, and offices worldwide. The Portfolio Planning & Strategy Lead owns the planning process that determines how much space the company needs, what types of space it needs, where it should be located, and when it is needed. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Real Estate, this hands-on senior role translates headcount plans, program schedules, and portfolio data into forecasts of real estate demand and supply. The role measures portfolio utilization and develops recommendations for division leaders and the C-suite, working with incomplete and inconsistent data and applying modern data platforms and LLMs. The lead runs the quarterly portfolio forecast and publishes a five- to ten-year outlook. They forecast seat, office, R&D, and production space demand against current and committed supply; assess market- and year-specific gaps; and model scenarios and their operating and capital expenditure impacts. They define portfolio efficiency and utilization metrics, benchmark performance, and turn findings into recommendations on consolidation, densification, lease restructuring, or expansion. In partnership with Talent, People, Finance, Corporate Operations, and division leaders, the role translates workforce growth, workforce mix, in-office patterns, and talent markets into location strategy, market selection, and site timing. The lead prepares and presents quarterly business reviews, expansion analyses, and leadership briefings, communicating recommendations and supporting calculations to senior decision-makers. The role also builds and maintains the planning system, including data pipelines and models using Palantir Foundry or similar platforms, Python or SQL, version-controlled datasets, and automated validation. It uses LLM-based agents to automate data extraction, reconciliation, analysis, and presentation production. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, at least five years of relevant experience, strong financial and analytical modeling skills, hands-on experience with LLMs and modern data platforms, and the ability to travel up to 10% for site visits, stakeholder meetings, and industry events.
