About The Position

This role involves the construction and maintenance of product composites according to GIPS guidelines, ensuring appropriate account inclusion/exclusion. The position requires reviewing and analyzing performance within deviating accounts, producing ad hoc analyses for portfolios, market events, and client inquiries (including RFP responses), and providing weekly/monthly dashboards. A key aspect is recommending and implementing improvements to reporting processes for efficiency and automation. Collaboration with other teams is essential to drive change and deliver value to the firm and clients. The role also includes assisting with performance verifications and audit/control activities, and contributing expertise to new product creation by assisting with requirement writing and development for an internal composite engine.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance or related field of study plus one (1) year of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • OR Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • Performance measurement methodologies including daily time-weighted returns and Modified Dietz.
  • Multi-asset products and portfolio management theories.
  • Utilizing statistical data analysis for composite reviews including standard deviation, max drawdown, Share ratio, information ratio, and Sortino ratio.
  • Dispersion analysis and composite criteria.
  • Performing data manipulation, data structuring, data design flow and query optimization using programming language including SQL and Python.
  • Automating manual processes using tools including Alteryx and VBA.
  • Mainframe accounting systems and performance system architecture.
  • Analyzing data sets.
  • Requirement gathering and project management including JIRA for technology releases via sprint cycles.
  • Designing and developing PowerPoint presentations and Excel reports with advanced functionalities including lookup, index match, data analysis add-ons, pivots, and VBA.
  • Analyzing, mapping, and documenting business processes to ensure accuracy and completeness in Standard Operating Procedures.
