About The Position

This role involves managing and nurturing client relationships within an existing customer base. The Portfolio Manager will support loan officers by assisting with underwriting renewals, preparing for loan renewals, and closing renewals or loans. Key responsibilities include proactive communication for updated financials, maintaining workflow with loan assistants, and assisting with monitored credits, covenant testing, and annual loan reviews. The position also requires collecting tax returns and financial statements, monitoring exceptions, and supporting the bank's Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) efforts. Additionally, the role may involve joining sales calls, making referrals to other departments, ensuring compliance with CIP requirements, and maintaining prompt attendance and a helpful attitude. The employee is expected to strive for efficiency, complete assigned training, and adhere to IT security policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required

Responsibilities

  • Expands and nurtures client relationships with existing customers by assisting officer with underwriting renewals and referrals
  • Proactive contact to acquire updated financials for the purposes of clearing exceptions or helping the officer prepare for a loan renewal
  • Closing renewals or loans when requested by the officer
  • Stay in communication with loan assistant to keep WIP flowing and organized for loans to close as expected
  • Assists with monitored credits, covenant testing, and annual loan reviews
  • Collect tax returns and financial statements for spreads in portfolio of officers you support
  • Monitor and collect documents and financial exceptions in portfolio of officers you support
  • Supports the bank’s CRA efforts through active involvement in community organizations and specific projects as requested
  • Join officer on sales calls as requested
  • Makes referrals to the Mortgage and Trust Departments when appropriate
  • Consistently complies with CIP requirements
  • Employee has prompt and regular attendance
  • Has a helpful attitude with co-workers and customers
  • Strives to improve efficiency in his/her work area through cost savings
  • Performs other duties assigned by supervisor
  • Completes all training assigned to HR, IT, Compliance, BSA, and supervisor on a timely basis
