About The Position

Ballentine Partners is looking for an enthusiastic Portfolio Manager to join our growing Investments team. The Portfolio Manager is responsible for developing investment strategy and working with Senior Client Advisors and Senior Investment Advisors on portfolio management for clients.

Requirements

  • Be a highly analytical, fact-based thinker with strong quantitative skills and attention to detail.
  • Possess strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and senior stakeholders.
  • Have the ability to interface with clients with all knowledge levels and provide investment advice involving complex solutions.
  • Take a proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving, conducting independent research, anticipating issues, and proposing thoughtful solutions.
  • Be highly organized and able to manage competing priorities, take direction from multiple team members, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Work effectively both independently and collaboratively across teams, with a positive and collegial attitude.
  • Demonstrate sound professional judgment, discretion, and high standards of integrity.
  • Demonstrates advanced Excel skills, including the ability to build and analyze financial models.
  • Be comfortable learning and using investment software, CRM systems, and other technology tools.
  • Show a commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and achieving positive outcomes for clients.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience in investment management and/or financial services.
  • Series 65 license

Nice To Haves

  • Meaningful progress toward the CFA designation is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Contributing to the leadership of the investment group
  • Working directly with clients to develop and provide advice on investment strategy and portfolio management
  • Providing direction and investment leadership to client service teams
  • Finalizing Investment Policy Statements (IPS) for clients
  • Serving as the lead advisor on many of the G2 and G3 clients
  • Significantly contributing to G1 clients by handling most of the day-to-day calls and regular meetings
  • Mentoring Portfolio Analysts and Portfolio Associates
  • Other duties as assigned.
