About The Position

Portfolio Manager is responsible for supporting the management and performance monitoring of loan portfolios. This entry-level position involves assisting with credit risk assessment, financial analysis, and client relationship management to ensure loans align with company objectives and meet client needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years prior experience in banking or customer service roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess financial data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with advanced Excel skills a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing and monitoring the performance of loan portfolios, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Analyze financial statements and borrower creditworthiness to support decision-making for loan approvals, modifications, and renewals.
  • Collaborate with senior portfolio managers to assess and mitigate credit risk and make recommendations for portfolio adjustments.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing loan documentation and ensuring all necessary information is accurate and up to date.
  • Support the team in the day-to-day management of client relationships, responding to inquiries and providing necessary assistance.
  • Help track loan performance and prepare reports for senior management and clients.
  • Stay informed about market trends, industry regulations, and lending best practices to effectively contribute to portfolio management.
  • Provide administrative support to the lending team, including tracking payments, preparing financial models, and assisting with client meetings.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary.
