About The Position

The Portfolio Manager is part of Credit Solutions team supporting two high-growth national verticals: ESOP and Healthcare. As a Portfolio Manager II, you’ll manage a subset of existing credits while playing a key role in originating new credits. Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive credit analysis, preparing credit recommendations, ensuring compliance with the bank’s risk framework, delivering exceptional client service, and overseeing portfolio management tasks such as risk rating assessments, covenant compliance, and reporting. We seek a detail-oriented professional with strong credit acumen, analytical skills, and a proven commitment to client service. Experience in ESOP or Healthcare is a plus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Finance, Business, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of progressively increasing credit underwriting and portfolio management experience in relevant industry/industries ESOP, Healthcare
  • Intermediate experience in credit management and lending operations, with a strong understanding of risk management principles
  • Desire to build leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to train and develop talent
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Intermediate analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions

Responsibilities

  • Mentors junior colleagues, fosters a culture ozf continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Owns and manages an assigned credit portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and risk management practices, including underwriting all types of credit exposures, managing credit risk, and responding to prospective client inquiries.
  • Analyzes credit data and perform underwriting to assess creditworthiness and recommend appropriate structures to the Sales team and client. Prepare underwriting memorandums and approval documents for presentation to Credit Risk.
  • Performs portfolio management activities to monitor and analyze portfolio performance, including periodic reviews and covenant tracking.
  • Analyzes credit data to support underwriting and creditworthiness assessments including developing and presenting individual credit recommendations.
  • Practices effective risk management, maintaining high standards of credit quality and origination in alignment with Bank’s credit risk appetite, and compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements.
  • Partners with Relationship Manager(s) to successfully manage credit account relationships. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and effective credit operations to achieve the Bank’s strategic initiatives. Participate in ad-hoc projects to support the organization’s priorities.
  • Provides exceptional client service by maintaining professionalism and effectively interacting with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored credit solutions. Participate in joint sales pitches with Relationship Manager(s).
