About The Position

As a portfolio management specialist, knowing the complexities of supporting a project from concept to completion is essential. Many programs require a significant investment of limited resources, and it is imperative to keep a project on a productive path. That is why a seasoned project management specialist who can help ensure success through careful analysis and effective communication is needed. You will serve as a portfolio lead for a DoW customer and be responsible for the day-to-day management of various projects as assigned by the customer, throughout an entire life cycle. You will analyze existing policies and processes to identify organizational improvements that streamline the client's portfolio. The work performed in support of this customer will have direct impacts upon U.S. defense priorities. The real impact of project management comes from communication to ensure the client achieves their objectives and goals, while meeting our quality standards. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in working for the DoD, Joint Staff, or a Service-level staff office developing executive-level briefings and deliverables
  • Experience with developing written products and information papers, briefings, and presentations
  • Experience with evaluating and overseeing project execution of near-term, mid-term, and long-term assignments
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with acquisition
  • Experience with drafting and revising congressional reports and inquiries
  • Experience with foreign military sales or conducting international business
  • Completion of formal acquisition training
