About The Position

The Portfolio Management Director within PNC's Technology organization is accountable for what the ServiceNow platform works on next. The role leads the ServiceNow Product Owner organization, owns the front door for new demand, and establishes prioritization across product lines so that trade-offs between business areas are resolved in one place. It requires platform fluency sufficient to evaluate estimates, size demand, and explain costs, but does not involve configuring the instance. The position is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Strongsville, Ohio; Phoenix, Arizona; Farmers Branch, Texas; or Lakewood, Colorado. PNC describes itself as an in-office company. The director manages and develops Product Owners, including hiring, performance management, coaching, and setting standards for outcome-oriented product ownership. The role owns end-to-end demand management, including a published intake, visible triage service levels, routing accepted demand to product lines, consistent demand scoring, and conversion of accepted demand into roadmap epics. It maintains a ranked portfolio roadmap with published refreshes and clear commitments, stretch goals, dependencies, and trade-offs. The position resolves prioritization conflicts among product lines for shared architecture, quality engineering, and release capacity. It owns PI planning and increment governance, chairs the Demand Board, represents the portfolio at the Design Authority and executive steering committee, and serves as the recognized platform contact for technology leaders, process owners, and business sponsors. Solution design and platform architecture, platform health and release promotion, story detail and sprint content, and delivery execution and crew-level status reporting are assigned to other roles. The broader portfolio-management responsibilities include overseeing portfolio managers and their teams, facilitating strategic initiative governance and approvals, reviewing analysis and reports for key portfolio milestones, and maintaining accountability for the portfolio budget. The role works across multidisciplinary functions and oversees vendor relationships. PNC expects its people managers to foster inclusive teams, model company values, enable change, achieve results, and develop employees. The position is incentive eligible. PNC will not sponsor employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position.
