About The Position

Leidos is seeking a Portfolio Director for The Space Force and Air Force IT Division to lead growth in our Air and Space Enterprise IT portfolio of programs. The selected candidate will lead a portfolio with the potential of more than $130M annually with responsibilities for managing cost, schedule, performance with an emphasis on the growth aspect of the portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 15+ years combined experience managing and/or executing the planning, provisioning, and delivery of network services, and/or other technically complex information technologies services to large organizations internationally.
  • At least five years combined experience managing the planning, provisioning, and delivery of IT services to large organizations.
  • This experience shall include regular communications with the supported organization’s senior executives and direct accountability for managed activities.
  • Previous experience as a Leidos portfolio Manager or equivalent with broad expertise guiding complex global-enterprise level projects and operations across multiple related IT disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Leading P&L organizations of at least $50M in annual revenue; successful record of growing the business or P&L.
  • Possesses broad knowledge base with key IT technologies to include but not limited to: network service delivery, network operations, defensive cyber, data center and cloud, and information assurance.
  • Ability to communicate with executive leadership regarding matters of significant importance to the organization.
  • Experience and ability to successfully negotiate and influence others to understand and accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.
  • Experience estimating all technical and operations costs with the IT enterprise.
  • Experience identifying and assessing business impacts to proposed changes to a largely technical solution or enterprise operations.
  • Must have an active DOD Secret level security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the profit and loss (P&L) for the portfolio; reporting financial numbers on a monthly basis and working with the Division Manager on long-term demand and forecast planning.
  • Responsible for the quality and efficiency of the portfolio’s performance, to include both technical issues and businesses processes.
  • Develop corrective actions for any quality deficiencies and promulgate those improvements with other portfolio directors in adjacent markets.
  • Develop a leadership team and technical talent throughout organization with a focus on building professional development plans, training opportunities, succession planning, and other people leader skills across the portfolio.
  • Provide training on new capabilities, processes, and products introduced through digital transformation projects to standardize practices, mitigate risks, and improve user satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement portfolio’s growth strategy in coordination with the Leidos growth team, actively participate in new business reviews, proposal reviews, customer engagements, and other growth-related activities.
  • Partner with the technology community to facilitate feeding portfolio, priorities into the technology roadmap discussion; facilitate customer technology exchanges at the Leidos LENS, leverage the practice areas for repeatable offerings on programs and bids.
  • Facilitate culture change initiatives to support organizational growth and agility including organizational change management, communications, engagement, and training.
  • Identify and address potential training needs to enhance user proficiency.
  • Foster an environment of employee growth and development, promoting continuous learning and provide opportunities for skill enhancement.
  • Translate complex technical and operational realities into clear, actionable guidance for senior government and stakeholders to enable informed decision-making.
  • Communicate critical and time sensitive portfolio-related information directly to the Division Manager, or other delegated Government program personnel.
  • Perform as key point of contact for client relations and engage regularly to determine priorities based on the Customer guidance.
  • Maintain awareness of risk posture across portfolio; work with program and task order managers to ensure effective and pro-active mitigation; monetize identified risks, and collaborate with program managers to buy down risk through effective program and change management.
