About The Position

This is a 6-month, fixed-term, full-time co-op role open exclusively to Massachusetts students and recent graduates who meet specific eligibility requirements. The position reports to the Director of Portfolio Development and supports the Greentown Boston incubator team. The Associate will focus on program development and data projects crucial for the success of Greentown’s new startup recruitment and data reporting functions. Responsibilities include supporting membership sales operations, such as startup lead scouting, outreach campaigns, data system optimization, and sales data cleaning. This role aims to enhance the incubator's ability to identify, attract, and foster high-impact climate startups aligned with Greentown Labs’ mission and services. Additionally, the Associate will support the delivery of the First Valley Fellowship in collaboration with the Portfolio Development Manager and Director. This role offers an opportunity to gain experience in climate entrepreneurship, complex sales processes, CRM system optimization, and cross-functional collaboration within a growing organization.

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in business administration, data analytics, or a related field, with a strong academic record.
Proficiency with the Google Workspace and Microsoft, especially PowerPoint and Excel.

Nice To Haves

Experience with database platforms such as Salesforce or other similar CRM is a plus.
Experience with other tools such as FormAssembly, JotForm and MixMax is a plus.
Experience in sales, marketing, or business operations is a plus.
Experience working in a startup environment or with sustainability-focused organizations is a plus.
Familiarity with the cleantech or climatetech industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

Conduct data analysis projects, utilizing internal data and market research to identify trends and opportunities, and presenting findings and recommendations to leadership.
Perform climate startup research and prospecting, identifying potential new members through online searches, organizing lead lists, and facilitating initial communication before handing off qualified leads to the Membership sales team.
Conduct data-entry and data-cleaning activities to maintain the integrity and accuracy of ecosystem and membership-related data.
Support the delivery of the First Valley Fellowship, including mentor matching, day-to-day program implementation, and tracking resource usage.
Prepare email campaigns by organizing leads lists and drafting email copy in MixMax, and tracking, analyzing, and reporting on campaign performance.
Provide basic administrative responsibilities and hands-on technical support within Salesforce.
Support process improvement projects from identification to planning to execution.
Support the Operations Team with general tasks in the prototyping lab and front desk and reception coverage during assigned shifts.
