About The Position

We're looking for a Portfolio Analyst to bridge our investment and operations teams in Montreal. You'll own the complete portfolio lifecycle: from deal execution and settlement through reconciliation, analytics, and performance reporting. You'll work directly with investment professionals while commanding the operational infrastructure that powers our portfolio.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in investment operations, middle office, fund administration, custody, or performance measurement at an institutional-quality asset management firm, fund administrator, or custodian.
  • Working knowledge of the trade lifecycle, including trade capture, confirmation, settlement conventions across asset classes, corporate actions, and familiarity with performance measurement and attribution methodologies.
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; progress toward a professional designation such as the CFA or CIPM is a strong asset.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong data manipulation capabilities; experience with SQL, Python, or workflow automation tools is an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience with — or strong aptitude to learn — AI and automation tools, including large language models, workflow automation platforms, and intelligent document processing, to streamline operational processes.
  • Experience working with private markets structures (capital calls, distributions, subscription documents, fund administrator reporting) is an asset.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage recurring deadlines alongside ad hoc requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain operational issues and performance results to investment professionals and non-technical audiences alike.
  • For all positions in Québec, proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written, is mandatory. English is required due to regular interaction with colleagues and external partners outside Québec.
