About The Position

The Porter is responsible for upkeep of the grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, parking lots, and other community buildings at a multifamily residential apartment community. The role also supports apartment preparation, cleaning, maintenance, and safe operation of machinery.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual or multilingual skills.
• Experience with OneSite or other property management software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, parking lots, and other community buildings.
• Remove trash daily from office areas and the apartment community perimeter.
• Assist with preparing market-ready units, including removing trash from vacant apartments.
• Assist with assigned maintenance tasks and complete them in a timely manner.
• Assist with cleaning available units and model units.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, carpentry, and electrical problems.
• Report maintenance concerns to the maintenance supervisor or property manager.
• Perform tasks and operate machinery safely and in compliance with safety procedures.
