About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring that common areas are clean, safe, and welcoming for residents and visitors alike. The Porter will assist in the daily operations of the property, contributing to a positive living environment. By performing various maintenance tasks and responding to resident requests, the Porter helps to enhance tenant satisfaction and retention. Ultimately, this role supports the property management team in achieving high standards of service and operational excellence.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, which are essential for interacting with residents and addressing their needs effectively.
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks are crucial, as the Porter will be on their feet and moving throughout the property.
• Attention to detail is important for maintaining cleanliness and identifying maintenance issues before they escalate.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a similar role or in customer service is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance and repair techniques.
• Experience working in a residential property
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.
• Basic maintenance knowledge, will be utilized when performing minor repairs and ensuring the property remains in good condition.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and order in common areas, including lobbies, hallways, and outdoor spaces.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaks, and reporting larger issues to management.
• Respond promptly to resident requests and inquiries, providing excellent customer service.
• Monitor the property for safety hazards and report any concerns to the property management team.
