About The Position

Murray's Collision Group has been part of the Puget Sound community since 1984. We're a family-owned company with multiple locations across the greater Seattle area, known for quality repairs, a strong shop culture, and taking care of our team. Our Des Moines location is looking for a Porter who takes pride in keeping vehicles moving and looking great throughout the repair process. You'll be picking up and delivering customer vehicles, prepping and detailing cars for delivery, and helping keep the shop clean, organized, and running smoothly. This is a great fit for someone who's comfortable behind the wheel of different vehicles and wants to build hands-on experience in the collision repair industry.

Requirements

Prior experience in collision repair or automotive detailing strongly preferred
Strong attention to detail
Comfortable driving multiple types of vehicles for extended periods
Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
High school diploma preferred
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and comfortably stoop, bend, kneel, and squat for extended periods

Responsibilities

Port customer vehicles as needed for technicians and estimators
Pick up and deliver customer vehicles to and from their location
Perform pre-wash on vehicles and assist the Detailer with final vehicle cleaning before customer delivery
Vacuum and clean vehicle interiors, including windows
Help maintain the parking lot, building, and general facility upkeep
Ensure all vehicles are secure and locked each night
Assist with light scratch buffing and installing trim or cosmetic parts as needed
Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner
