About The Position

As a Porter in our legendary music and entertainment venues, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our guests. You'll perform general cleaning and housekeeping, and respond to cleaning emergencies, in the restaurant and event spaces of a multiple-level building.   • Speak and hear to communicate effectively and use both near and distance vision.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods, while carrying items (10-12 hours).
  • Occasionally climb, sit, kneel, bend, step up/down and reach above shoulder to clean.
  • Walk up and down stairs while navigating the venue.
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasionally team-lift over 50 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity for cleaning tasks.
  • Able to tolerate extreme heat.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience with kitchen and restaurant operations preferred
  • Operation of garbage compactor/disposal preferred

Responsibilities

  • Clean and service restrooms throughout scheduled shift. Sanitize fixtures, restock supplies, sweep floors, empty trashcans, and replace liners.
  • Remove dust, smudges, and fingerprints from surfaces. Wipe windows, ledges, walls, doors, elevators, stairs, and other surfaces.
  • Spot sweep and/or mop guest-facing areas, including elevators and stairs. Place safety hazard signs and promptly clean spills.
  • Empty trashcans before they are full, clean interior and exterior, replace liner. Assist kitchen with trash runs as needed. Break down cardboard boxes for proper disposal.
  • Remove litter and debris throughout the building and exterior areas. This includes removing any trash such as cups, cans and paper products left on tables, ledges, stairs, etc.
  • Respond promptly to radio calls for maintenance and cleaning needs. This includes cleaning spills, bodily fluid, and overflowing trash. Proper procedures for bodily fluids must be followed.
  • Maintain organization of chemical room. Stock cleaning carts and ensure all chemicals are properly labeled. Inform management when supplies and equipment need to be ordered.
  • Communicate with supervisor and venue leadership regarding questions or concerns immediately.
  • May assist with setup and removal of event seating and other equipment transport needs.
  • Model company service basics. Follow all corporate policies, safety and security procedures, and brand SOPs. Promptly report accidents, facility issues, or unsafe conditions to management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
