About The Position

Metcar is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Porter to join our team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for general housekeeping throughout the facility, with a strong emphasis on cleaning and maintaining a Process environment free of debris generated during the manufacturing process. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior industrial, manufacturing, janitorial, or custodial experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
• Must be a “U.S. Person” (per ITAR 120.15) and are required to show proof substantiating this upon being hired.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of production areas, focusing on the removal of debris generated during the manufacturing process, from floors, equipment surfaces, workstations, and common areas
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, and maintain cleanliness throughout the manufacturing facility.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and properly dispose of waste materials.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, break rooms, and office areas.
• Maintain hallways, entrances, conference rooms, and other common areas in a clean and presentable condition.
• Assist with cleaning production equipment and surrounding work areas as directed.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, paper products, and sanitation materials.
• Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Support facility-wide housekeeping initiatives to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or supply shortages to management.
• Assist with special cleaning projects and facility upkeep as needed.
• Maintain a professional attitude and work effectively with employees throughout the organization.
