About The Position

The Porter maintains the daily cleanliness, appearance, and overall upkeep of public and operational spaces within the building. The role responds to special Building Management requests and work orders and helps ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for tenants, employees, and visitors.

Duties include cleaning common areas, handling spills and tenant requests, restocking restroom supplies, supporting meeting-space and event setups, reporting maintenance or safety issues, and following safety and cleaning protocols.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Porter.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups at all professional levels.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, or kneel as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and other common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust areas as needed.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
• Restock restroom supplies, including soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Wipe down doors, windows, and other high-touch surfaces.
• Respond promptly to spills, messes, and tenant requests.
• Assist with moving furniture, setting up meeting spaces, and supporting special events.
• Report maintenance or safety issues to management.
• Keep cleaning equipment and supplies in good condition.
• Follow safety and cleaning protocols.
• Respond to special Building Management requests and work orders.
