About The Position

As a porter at SpaceXSI, you will interact politely and courteously with guests (employees), fellow staff members, and management in the private restaurant and throughout the campus. You will help restock supplies, stage takeaway options, and perform other duties assigned by kitchen management.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
At least 1 year of restaurant, warehouse, and/or customer service experience.
Ability to carry large, heavy items unassisted, such as packages, dishes in tubs, or trays, up to 45 lbs.
Ability to stand for long periods, 10–12 hours a day.
Must be able to work all shifts and be available for overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Ability to work one of the listed shifts six days a week: First Shift, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, or Second Shift, 1:00 PM–11:00 PM.
Frequent bending, stooping, and lifting of objects.
Valid driver's license.
Must have or be able to attain a Food Handler Card within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate sanitation and food safety practices consistently.
Help evaluate receiving spaces to ensure a safe and secure environment.
Complete daily, weekly, and monthly tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
Follow company safety standards and look out for the safety of other team members and guests.
Coordinate job duties with other team members to help ensure efficient preparation for service openings.
Put food orders away accurately and rotate stock in cooler, freezer, and dry storage using the first-in-first-out (FIFO) method while monitoring shelf life and code dates.
Maintain a basic working knowledge of the operation of all restaurant equipment.
Restock supplies and stage takeaway options.
Complete other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the manager on duty.
