Porter
About The Position
The Porter will be responsible for maintaining the facility by cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and polishing. This includes removing miscellaneous debris by removing trash, refreshing the bath area by cleaning toilets and sinks, and refilling hand towel and toilet paper dispensers. The role also involves cleaning floors by washing and vacuuming, maintaining furnishings by dusting and polishing furniture, and cleaning and polishing glass surfaces. Additionally, the Porter will be responsible for keeping supplies ready by restocking housekeeping supplies and ordering new supplies as needed. They will also ensure equipment is operating by following instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs. Maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, and complying with security regulations is crucial. The role also involves updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and enhancing the housekeeping reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1 year of related experience
