About The Position

The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the property. This includes daily groundskeeping, trash removal, graffiti removal, and addressing health and safety concerns. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.

Requirements

• Ability to bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas.
• Ability to work inside and outside in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, hail, wind, sleet).
• Ability to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to twenty-five (25) pounds independently and fifty (50) pounds.
• Demonstrated ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define and correct.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with residents, clients, team members, and other business contacts.
• Ability to respond courteously to questions and requests.
• Ability to stay calm when addressing and resolving customer issues.
• Must pass a standard background check reviewing records for the past seven (7) years.

Responsibilities

• Pick up grounds every morning before the leasing office opens.
• Remove all trash, pet waste, and debris from walkways, parking lots, and common areas.
• Clear trash bins/dumpster enclosures of trash, debris, and furniture.
• Remove graffiti immediately.
• Check for and address any health and safety matters.
• Apply principles of logical thinking to define and correct issues.
• Provide customer service and interact effectively with residents, clients, and team members.
