About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Portable Equipment Manager- HTM in Galveston, TX with UTMB. The Portable Equipment Manager- HTM provides management and supervision of the assigned Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) Division operations within UTMB- Galveston Campus. Manager will report to the Client Executive and have account operational and team supervisory responsibility while ensuring the mission, vision, values, and goals of Sodexo and UTMB are attained. In this pivotal role, you’ll drive innovation, ensure top-tier service delivery, and help bring to life the mission, vision, and values of both Sodexo and our healthcare partner. A valid driver’s license and acceptable driver’s license record check is required.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in Environmental Services, Custodial, Facilities, or Hospitality (healthcare preferred).
  • Knowledge of hospital cleaning standards, floor care, and infection prevention practices.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and a flexible 2nd‑shift or split‑shift schedule.
  • equipment management distribution experience.

  • ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical devices.

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Coordination of Portable Equipment Management Services staff to facilitate program management in assigned area.
  • Supervise work activities by assigning and prioritizing activities, and monitoring compliance to operating standards.
  • Establish operating standards, develops and implements quality improvements and ensures direct reports adhere to standards and expectations.
  • Medical Technology transportation and cleaning services of moveable equipment.
  • Project Management activities aligned to Medical Equipment Inventory, Assessing PAR Levels and Infection Control Objectives.
  • Client/Customer relations.
  • Purchased Services and Supply Management.
  • Assisting in Hiring, training of PEMS professionals.
