About The Position
A Porsche Certified Service Technician is responsible for fixing, inspecting, and maintaining Porsche vehicles. This role involves using diagnostic tools to identify and resolve potential issues, explaining vehicle problems to customers, and performing necessary maintenance to prevent future breakdowns or issues.
Requirements
- Understanding of automotive systems
- Ability to use the diagnostic equipment and tools including power tools
- Willingness to learn with hands-on training
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance
- Ability to provide friendly customer service
- High line automotive repair experience required
- ASE certifications required
Nice To Haves
- Working knowledge of state inspection guidelines, particularly those concerning emissions and safety, is advantageous
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and other tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Repair brake and steering systems
- Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems
- Replace or repair transmissions and fuel components as needed
- Repair cooling components and systems including air conditioners and engine cooling
- Perform emissions inspections, safety checks and similar state-regulated vehicle examinations
- Produce legible and accurate paperwork reflecting work performed
- Read, interpret, and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records
- Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment
- Other duties as assigned
