About The Position

The Porsche Flat Rate Technician is responsible for repairing vehicles in a safe, efficient, and ethical manner, with customer satisfaction as the primary goal. This position does not involve direct leadership over others but requires the technician to act as a leader, mentor, and trainer for employees in Technician, Lube Technician, and Apprentice Technician roles.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Valid Driver’s license
• Can adapt and embrace change with an internal and external customer centric mindset
• Act as an advocate for teammates and have a strong commitment to technology advancement
• Possesses effective communication skills: oral, written, listening.
• Works well with customers, promotes a positive image of the company, strives to solve issues raised by customers.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

• 1-2 years’ experience in a customer service orientated environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain ASE and/or manufacturer-required certifications; stay up to date with all manufacturer technical data as well as service bulletins.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and OSHA regulations that pertain to your job.
• Read and understand customer complaints; diagnose and advise findings; complete all authorized repairs in accordance with manufacturer and company policy; return warranty parts to parts dept and road test vehicles as needed to verify completion of repairs.
• Properly document all repairs using both internet-based tools and physical Repair Order documentation as instructed per department requirements.
• Meet all flat-rate hour production-based metrics as prescribed by Management.
• Act as a leader, mentor, and trainer to employees in the in Technician, Lube Technician, and Apprentice Technician roles.
