About The Position

Pool Operator shall service and maintain pools and spa.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledgeable and skilled in grounds maintenance.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Must have a Department of Health Pool Certification or have completed a Maryland State Accredited Certified Pool Operator Course.

Responsibilities

  • Service and maintain filtering and purification equipment used for maintaining the pools.
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain swimming pools, water systems, filter systems, pumps, and other pool equipment.
  • Maintain proper chemical balance.
  • Maintain the pool area, including cleaning of the deck and other maintenance tasks.
  • Respond to swimming pool related work orders in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery or equipment.
  • Repair and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Transport and store hazardous chemicals.
  • Regularly test swimming pool water quality, Chlorine and pH balance.
  • Maintain manual or automated records of all activities and prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
