About The Position

Sun Outdoors Myrtle Beach is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Pool Technician to maintain our seven pools and aquatic facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring safe water quality, maintaining pool equipment, and keeping pool areas clean, functional, and guest-ready.

Requirements

  • Current Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Knowledge of pool chemistry and water quality management.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous pool maintenance experience preferred.
  • Basic mechanical and plumbing knowledge preferred.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain proper pool water chemistry, including chlorine, pH, and alkalinity levels.
  • Inspect, operate, and maintain pumps, filters, heaters, and related equipment.
  • Perform routine pool cleaning, including skimming, vacuuming, brushing, and debris removal.
  • Maintain accurate records of chemical readings, maintenance activities, and inspections.
  • Monitor chemical inventory and safely handle pool chemicals in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety standards.
  • Assist with general property maintenance projects when needed.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to pool-related issues as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
