About The Position

Princeton Property Management is seeking a Seasonal Pool Technician for Hampton Park Apartments. This role involves maintaining pools, including chemical testing, daily log entries, cleaning pool furniture and decks, and managing supply inventory. The pool requires testing every four hours while open. No prior experience is necessary as training will be provided. This is a part-time seasonal position requiring mandatory pool training, for which you will be paid. Weeknights and weekends are required, with an expected workload of up to 10 hours per week at $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

  • Legally able to work in United States
  • Pass a thorough background check.
  • Able to speak, read and write English competently.
  • Possess a valid driver license, proof of insurance, and a reliable vehicle for all mobile positions.
  • Computer proficient, able to learn company software programs.
  • Possess basic mathematical skills.
  • Communicate effectively.
  • Work independently and/or with others.
  • Lift, carry, pull, or push 25 lbs.
  • Climb stairs, step stools or ladders up to 6 ft. high, twist, crouch, or kneel.
  • Spend extended periods of time standing.
  • Walk on even or uneven surfaces.
  • Use arms, wrists, and hands to grasp, squeeze and manipulate.
  • Tolerate changes in weather and be able to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the proper chemical balance for the pool.
  • Maintain the pH and Chlorine values for good water quality.
  • Maintain the pool and all water features using proper chemicals and cleaners.
  • Maintain the pool pumps and filters.
  • Maintain the pool area including cleaning of the deck and other maintenance tasks.
  • Transports and stores hazardous chemicals.
  • Carry out scheduled water cleanings.
  • Regularly test and record swimming pool water quality and pH balance.
  • Maintain manual records of all activities and prepares daily/weekly/monthly reports.
  • Pick up trash and clean swimming pool, restroom, and facility areas.
  • Cleaning and servicing swimming pool filtration units.
  • Use swimming pool vacuum cleaner to clean the pool floor.
  • Use a telescopic pole with net to clean and remove any debris.
  • Make sure all pool equipment like pool covers is in good working condition.
  • Logging and reporting equipment faults or water quality problems to Manager.
  • Adhere to State and Federal Labor Laws, Fair Housing Laws, and Princeton Property Management policies as set forth in the Onsite Employee Handbook and training materials.
  • Responsible to adhere to all company policies on the property.
  • Always deliver exceptional customer service and maintain professionalism with residents, colleagues, and vendors.
  • Work required number of hours each week.
  • Punctuality and attendance are an essential function of this job because of the nature of the position.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
