About The Position

The Pool Supervisor is responsible for displaying excellent customer service skills and performing the functions of a pool attendant. This role maintains the daily operations of the Recreation Center, Three Graces, and Infinity Pools consistent with the goals and directives of the Recreation Manager. The supervisor will lead staff and oversee pool operations while working closely with a team. This position assists with the organization and execution of all pool activity programs, including handling various swim activities, pool maintenance, supervision of aquatic facilities, and promotion of pool safety.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1 year supervisor and/or management experience.
  • 1 year food and beverage experience.
  • CPR & First Aid Certification (may be provided by organization upon acceptance of position).
  • Food Handlers Certificate (may be provided by organization upon acceptance of position).
  • Ability to interpret/extract information and/or perform arithmetic functions.
  • Good communication skills and patience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and participates in the daily operation of swimming pool activities and events, including the supervision of pool servers, bartenders, and scheduling rotations.
  • Creates checklists and side work sheets to initiate cleaning and daily maintenance of the pool and cleanliness of restaurant, furnishings, and workstations, including set up, tear-down, resupplying towels and chair covers, and maintenance repair and adjustments.
  • Ensures staff adheres to all resort standards and completes all side work.
  • Maintains knowledge of, abides by, and enforces Colorado Liquor laws.
  • Monitors food quality and service level.
  • Assists with ordering, organizing, and inventory control of all products.
  • Responsible for collecting daily revenues for the pools and monitors guest and member attendance.
  • Coordinates and prepares clean up and maintenance of the aquatic facility, in weather situations like during storms, and performs various duties related to aquatic activities.
  • Responds proactively to staff and guest concerns.
  • Communicates with other coworkers regarding weather and lighting policies.
  • Keeps team morale high by being a motivated leader with clear communication skills.
  • Oversees who enters the pool and enforces the rules of the Three Graces, Infinity, and Recreation Pool.
  • Conveys pool rules daily to ensure consistency.
  • Knows the laws, membership rules and regulations, and guest fees/passes.
  • Actively assists and proactively engages with all duties required for operations, ensuring that all food and beverage orders are delivered correctly and promptly.
  • Establishes and maintains a "Standard of Excellence" for the Resort and Club's Recreation Center and Three Graces Pools and Teen Room programs/facilities.
  • Is prepared to speak to the offerings of the entire Resort and Spa, including services offered and hours of operation.
  • Delivers "GGRC Hospitality" service standards and department-specific signature touch points.
  • Establishes cross-departmental channels of communication among teammates that are consistent and complete.
  • Welcomes all guests to the facility with a hand over heart and checks all guests in.
  • Maintains the quality of work that coworkers are providing, both aesthetically and professionally.
  • Assists guests to seats, helps guests with umbrellas, and anticipates guest needs.
  • Sets up pools with pool chair covers and rolled towels.
  • Replaces pool chair covers and towels once each member and guest officially leaves.
  • Helps with events held at the pools.
