About The Position

The Pool Specialist performs routine and preventive maintenance property-wide and possesses a working knowledge of pool operating systems. This role is responsible for balancing water chemistry, handling and transporting pool chemicals and equipment, cleaning pools and baskets, brushing and vacuuming pools and spas, and completing work orders through a computer-based program. The specialist will also communicate work order details, notify supervisors of inventory needs, ensure customer satisfaction, and adhere to all company and departmental policies and standards.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of pool maintenance
  • Must maintain a current CPO certification
  • Working knowledge and experience with pool systems, equipment and chemicals
  • Working knowledge of hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
  • Must be flexible, detail oriented, able to prioritize and able to multi-task effectively
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, changing environment with multiple distractions and meet timelines
  • Must uphold appearance standards
  • Ability to problem solve and strategize for better solutions
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Must be 21+ years old
  • One (1) year experience, preferably in a Hotel/Casino environment
  • Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols
  • Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment
  • Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping.
  • These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned area.
  • Constant contact with fellow Team Members
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance property wide
  • Responsible for balancing water chemistry
  • Handling and transporting of pool chemicals and equipment
  • Cleaning and clearing of all debris from pool and baskets
  • Brushing and vacuuming of all pools and spas
  • Work daily with personal hand tools and company owned power tools
  • Complete work orders as assigned through computer-based program in a timely manner
  • Effectively communicate details of work orders and follow up through to completion
  • Notify Supervisors of parts and inventory needs
  • Ensure customer satisfaction
  • Follow lawful direction from Upper Management
  • Understand and follow work and safety rules and procedures
  • Interact well with others and be a positive influence on Team Member morale
  • Responsible for adhering to all company and departmental policies and standards
  • Other duties as assigned
