They are seeking part-time Pool Monitors to join the team at The Apex at Crossgates, a multi-family apartment community in Guilderland, NY. Requirements

High School Diploma; applicable Work History.
1+ years’ experience as a lifeguard or pool monitor.
Basic understanding of pool safety.
Ability to swim at a moderate level.
CPR certification.
Demonstrates integrity on a personal and professional level.
Exceptional communication skills.
Ability to solve problems involving residents and challenging situations.

Responsibilities

Opens the pool each shift and closes it down each evening.
Ensures both pool gates are unlocked at the beginning of the shift and locked at the end of the shift.
Ensures all umbrellas are either put up or down at the beginning or end of the shift.
Ensures all pool furniture is staged and placed neatly at the beginning, during, and end of the shift.
Ensures the pool area, poolside patio, and outdoor bathroom are clean of all garbage and debris during and at the end of the shift.
Ensures the pool stays clean at all times of debris, dirt, and trash – vacuum and skim as necessary.
Monitors pool-related activities closely throughout the shift and identifies any safety issues.
Directs swimmers out of the pool in hazardous conditions.
Monitors weather reports closely to ensure the safety of guests.
Ensures all residents and guests comply with Property pool rules and regulations.
Checks/signs in and out ALL residents and guests.
