About The Position

The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Pool Manager to join the only double Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences. The Pool Manager will be responsible for managing the team and the guest experience of the pool and cabana operations. This position assists with coverage in other departments during off-season pool operations.

Requirements

  • At least 3+ years’ experience at a similar high-volume operation, preferably within a Four- or Five-Star Hotel, or similar luxury operation. Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Extensive training and knowledge of lifeguard duties including but not limited to performing CPR, Heimlich Maneuver and basic First Aid in non-emergency situations as required. Current CPR license required
  • Possess a strong knowledge of food and beverage preparation, procedure, presentation, service techniques.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required
  • Physical demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and prolonged extended periods of standing

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, direct and control the day-to-day activities and operations of the pool and cabana operations
  • Develop and maintain staffing schedules to support service excellence, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture through open communication, team engagement, and leadership by example.
  • Support employee development by identifying training needs, mentoring team members, and enforcing performance standards.
  • Engage with guests and staff to gather service feedback, reinforce service expectations, and maintain a culture of personalized hospitality.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and liquor laws, as well as all internal food & beverage policies.
  • Conduct daily facility walk-throughs and report all maintenance issues
  • Create activations throughout the season to drive sales and promote business
  • Monitor and maintain a safe and clean pool area, including enforcement of all safety rules and regulations for the pool’s policy and procedures while ensuring that all lifesaving equipment is in proper order and location
