Pool Lifeguard - Swim Instructor
About The Position
Oakley Country Club in Watertown, MA, is looking for a full-time or part-time Pool Lifeguard - Swim Instructor to join our team! This position pays $18–$20 per hour plus commission for swim lessons and is a great opportunity for a certified lifeguard who enjoys working with people and creating a safe, welcoming pool environment. The pool operates seven days a week from 8 AM to 8 PM Saturday through Wednesday and 8 AM to 10 PM Thursday and Friday. Your shifts will fall within our business hours between 8 AM and 10 PM. Weekends and holidays are required, with the pool season running from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. If you're interested in year-round employment, there may also be opportunities to transition into a different role within the Clubhouse after the pool season ends.
Requirements
- Current lifeguard certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain alert and attentive while monitoring the pool
- Comfortable working with swimmers of different ages and skill levels
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening test
Nice To Haves
- A high school diploma or equivalent is ideal
- At least one year of lifeguard experience is also preferred
Responsibilities
