About The Position
This position involves sampling pools and spas at public facilities such as hotels, condos, and township pools. The role requires driving to various facilities to collect pool or spa samples for pH and residual chlorine. Additionally, bacteria samples will be collected for analysis of Total Coliform Bacteria, Pseudomonas Bacteria, and Standard Plate Count Bacteria. The work is fast-paced, with pool samples needing to reach the lab within 7 hours and spa samples within 5 hours of collection. A pre-planned route and schedule will be provided.
Requirements
- A reliable car
- A cell phone
- A GPS
- A valid clean driver’s license
- Availability from May 6th through August 31st
- Ability to attend training during the first and second week of May
Responsibilities
- Sampling pools and spas at public facilities.
- Driving to different facilities to collect samples.
- Sampling pool or spa water for pH and residual chlorine in the field.
- Collecting bacteria samples to be transported to the lab for analysis.
- Ensuring timely delivery of samples to the lab within specified timeframes (7 hours for pool, 5 hours for spa).
