About The Position

The Plantation at Ponte Vedra Beach is seeking Pool Deckhands to maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized pool area. This role involves assisting members and their guests, ensuring adherence to pool regulations, and working in an outdoor pool setting. The position reports to the Beach Club Manager.

Regularly required to stand and walk
Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear

Must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision

Nice To Haves

Valid Lifeguard and First Aid Certification is preferrable

Responsibilities

Monitor swimming pool area to ensure safety for all members and their guests
Perform regular checks of water quality and temperature
Perform and maintain an inventory of supplies needed to maintain the pool, decks and common areas
Clean the pool area including the deck, furniture and associated facilities
Set up and break down pool equipment and furniture
Conduct routine inspections of the pool equipment and facilities
Ensure pool maintains local codes/policies for operation
Perform other duties as assigned
