Pool Clinical Pharmacist - Inpatient Pediatrics
About The Position
Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, this role is responsible for the accurate and efficient practice of pharmacy, including general clinical pharmacy services to patients, nurses, and medical staff. The position participates in the Pharmacotherapy Consult service, staff development and education, and targeted drug programs. The role assesses the age-specific needs of patients served while monitoring patient medication use and processing medication orders. The Clinical Pharmacist is able to perform all duties of a registered Pharmacist and is responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital. This position requires supervision of sterile compounding activities, technicians, and pediatric satellite pharmacy operations.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Pharmacy with residency, or Pharm D degree from accredited College of Pharmacy
- Pharmacy Practice Residency or equivalent training/experience
- Current licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of Florida
- One year prior experience in a hospital, or related experience with clinical pharmacy
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Completion of ASHP-accredited residency program or a minimum of three years of pediatric clinical and operational experience
