About The Position

As a Seasonal Pool Bartender, you'll uphold Regent's luxury standards by assisting servers with tasks such as serving beverages, taking orders, and explaining menu items. You'll help stock supplies, assist the bartender with ice and restocking, and work with the kitchen to ensure accurate food orders. Additionally, you'll greet and seat guests, maintain cleanliness and organization at the pool, and adjust chaise loungers and umbrellas as needed. Your role requires excellent hospitality skills, teamwork, clear communication, and a focus on quality service. Reporting to the Outlets Manager, every day is different, but you’ll mostly: Promote Regent’s service philosophy and style through our people attributes. Understand and perform job duties to the expectations of Regent Santa Monica Beach Perform all side work applicable to assigned station. Participate in Pre-Shift meetings and learn new menu items. Update the team during pre-shift about drink specials and items that are running low or changes to the menu Welcome all guests and ensure they receive responsive, professional and gracious service. Answer any questions about the menu, specific food items, the wine list or any other inquiries the guest may have. Liaise with server and pool attendants to always ensure communication about wants and needs of guests. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering impeccable guest service Is knowledgeable on all activities happening at the pool and the hotel Assists the Pool attendants with daily delivery of surprise and delights to guests Always maintains a clean and well stocked bar Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all bar menus. Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant employees and guests.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of fine dining mixology experience
  • Extensive Food and Wine Knowledge.
  • Must be minimum age to serve alcohol.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.
  • Able to stand for long periods and move about the property.
  • Carrying or lifting items weighing more than 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, stoop, and bend repetitively.
  • Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Participation in a pooled tip system, where you contribute to tipping out the support staff and other essential colleagues.

Benefits

  • Hourly pay rate of $16.90 to $21.40, plus tips.
