About The Position

Demonstrates hospitality behaviors and performance standards. Understands where to get the information needed to complete tasks to standard. Can explain and demonstrate technical skills used to complete tasks to standard. Understands how to take ownership of problems and solve them when solutions may not be available, has complete knowledge, and can tell hotel guests of IMG products and services.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Currently certified with a nationally recognized association with a CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Certified to operate a deliberator machine, currently certified with a nationally recognized association as a certified lifeguard or receive certification within one month of employment.
  • Must pass a swim test and have a good level of physical fitness.
  • Must possess good oral and written communication skills, as well as quality people skills.
  • Must be eligible to work all shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in guests in a friendly manner;
  • Develop and maintain a friendly relationship with all Team Members and guests;
  • Answer all questions politely;
  • Enforce and abide by all IMGR&C pool policies and regulations;
  • Refer Pool chemistry problems to Manager promptly;
  • Complete the opening duties checklist;
  • Supervise swimmers and bathers to prevent accidents and make sure they follow safety regulations;
  • Rescue swimmers in difficulty and provide first-aid if required;
  • In absence of Personal Trainer, oversee all functions of the fitness area including all duties;
  • Place signs or barriers to warn of dangerous conditions or areas and make sure users are aware of potential dangers;
  • Report incidents to management or other authorities;
  • Know facility's emergency action plan and how to engage it;
  • Assist with the opening and closing the facility as needed;
  • Attend all scheduled meetings and in-services;
  • Maintain a good level of physical fitness;
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Salon & Spa Manager and Supervisor;
  • Abide by all IMGR&C Policies and Procedures;
  • Abide by the Hospitality Behaviors and the IO keys to peak performance.
