About The Position

Dune Deck Beach Club, located in Westhampton Beach, New York, is seeking seasonal Part-Time Pool/Beach Attendants to join the Outdoor Pursuits Department. This position is available from May 15 to September 30, 2026. The Pool/Beach Attendant will ensure the highest level of service is offered to club members by providing personal and professional service throughout the property concerning outdoor activities. This role is hands-on, involving the organization, instruction, and encouragement of activities, and promoting member participation. The attendant will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for members and fellow employees.

Requirements

Previous experience in the guest service industry.
Ability to work flexible hours and on the weekends.
Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Long hours may be required due to business demands.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is a plus.
Certificates/qualifications preferred.
Experience in hospitality is preferred but not required.
Additional languages preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow the Outdoor Pursuits Standard Operating Procedure at all times.
Perform duties and tasks throughout the Club as assigned, such as stocking, cleaning, and preparing for member excursions and activities.
Carry out weekly safety checks on beach equipment, ensuring all meet SOP guidelines.
Attend the morning briefing.
Attend the end-of-day shutdown, adhering to the schedule set by management.
Regularly attend, participate in, and support training and staff meetings for Outdoor Pursuits.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and managers.
Act as an ambassador of the property and DLC at all times, on or off property.
Maintain adherence to and stay abreast of any changes to the Employee Handbook.
Be on time when starting a shift and prompt with each job assignment.
Help implement monthly stock takes/inventories of all parts and tools required for the area as advised by the OP Manager.
Greet all members.
Participate in activities and games with members.
Seat members, moving chairs and umbrellas accordingly.
Supply members with towels if necessary.
Keep towels and suntan lotion stocked at stations.
Help members in and out of the water with water equipment.
Ensure the safety of members and children in and around the pools and beach.
Make bonfires.
Assist members and guests in all activities.
