Pool & Beach Attendant
About The Position
The Pool/Beach Attendant is responsible for maintaining a safe and clean aquatic recreational area for residents and their guests. This role involves setting up the pool and beach areas to company and property standards daily, proactively enhancing the beach, and welcoming and assisting residents and their guests with amenities like lounge covers, towels, and umbrellas. The attendant must ensure proper use of amenities, monitor compliance with Association Rules and Regulations, and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs to the Supervisor. They will also work with the Maintenance Supervisor on beach equipment, remove dirty towels and trash, and maintain and organize the pool area, including furniture. Daily checklists must be completed.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a related position; experience at a luxury property or hotel is strongly preferred
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- The ability to work in a busy, luxury, and fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work well in a collaborative environment with various team members in other departments
- Must be able communicate effectively with other team members and guests
- Must convey a positive and “can-do” attitude at all times, including during high-stressful situations
- Ability to organize and prioritize and the ability to follow oral and written instructions
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the pool and beach areas are set up to company and property standards, on a daily basis
- Be proactive in the ongoing enhancement of the beach
- Welcome and greet residents and their guests
- Assist residents and guests with lounge covers, towels and umbrellas etc.
- Maintain a guest (resident) focus
- Ensure proper use of amenities such as water, cold towels, ice buckets, sunscreen and so on
- Monitor compliance of Association Rules and Regulations
- Report any malfunction or needed maintenance immediately to Supervisor
- Work with Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining beach equipment
- Remove dirty towels and trash
- Maintain and organize the pool area including the furniture
- Complete daily check list
