About The Position
A Polysomnographic Technologist III works under the general supervision of the medical director to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of patients with sleep disorders including in-center and out-of-center sleep testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care and direct patient education. A Polysomnographic Technologist III is able to perform the duties defined and is able to provide oversight of other sleep center staff, as assigned.
Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- High School plus 2 years or more of formal training or Associates Degree in Polysomnography (Sleep Technology) is required.
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) with the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists.
- Registered as RPSGT with North Carolina Medical Board.
- 6 to 10 years of experience as a Polysomnographic Technologist.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of patients with sleep disorders.
- Perform in-center and out-of-center sleep testing.
- Provide diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
- Offer comprehensive patient care and direct patient education.
- Provide oversight of other sleep center staff, as assigned.
