Mountain View Hospital is looking for an Polysomnographic Technician to join our team! JOB SUMMARY: A Polysomnographic Technician performs comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis, and associated interventions under the general supervision of a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) and/or the clinical director or designee. Requirements

  • Successful completion of a polysomnography program (A-Step) with certificate showing completion or a Respiratory Therapist License.
  • Must take and pass national board credentialing test within one year from date of hire.
  • Must have more than a basic knowledge of computer skills and become proficient with clinic software.
  • Must have the ability to effectively read, write, and speak English.
  • Exhibit good customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Performs comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis, and associated interventions under the general supervision of a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) and/or the clinical director or designee.
  • Prepare and calibrate equipment for testing to determine proper functioning and make adjustments if necessary.
  • Apply electrodes and sensors according to accepted published standards.
  • Perform appropriate physiologic calibrations to ensure proper signals and to make adjustments if necessary.
  • Perform routine positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fitting.
