Registered Polysomnographic Technologists are responsible for performing and monitoring diagnostic testing following AASM guidelines under the direction of the Medical Director, Polysomnography Coordinator, Supervisor, Manager, or Lead Technologist. This role encompasses all aspects of sleep disorders testing, including patient hook-up, equipment interfacing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and scoring for various studies such as Polysomnography, Polysomnography with therapeutic intervention, screening studies, and multiple sleep latency tests (MSLT or MWT). The position also involves patient follow-up and education.
