About The Position

The Polysomnographer performs routine and complex polysomnographic procedures, including MSLT and MWT, correlates and compiles diagnostic data, and applies therapeutic modalities as appropriate to the patient's condition. Other duties may include scoring, scheduling, maintaining electronic and paper files, database activities, departmental quality improvement, and troubleshooting EMU equipment. The role may also require routine EEGs and rotational call for routine EEGs; EEG work does not apply at the Medford location.

This is a full-time night-shift position at Providence Medford Medical Center in Medford, Oregon. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available to eligible external candidates who meet all payment conditions. A relocation package is available for candidates who qualify.

Requirements

• Education sufficient to meet the certification, license, or registration requirement.
• Upon hire/start date, an Oregon Polysomnographic Technologist License, or an Oregon Polysomnographic Technologist/Respiratory Therapist License.
• Upon hire/start date, National Registered Polysomnographic Technologist certification from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists, or National Certified Polysomnographic Technician certification from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists.
• Upon hire/start date, National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex polysomnographic procedures, including MSLT and MWT.
• Correlate and compile diagnostic data.
• Apply therapeutic modalities as necessary to the patient's condition.
• Perform scoring and scheduling as needed.
• Maintain electronic and paper files and perform database activities.
• Participate in departmental quality improvement.
• Troubleshoot EMU equipment.
• May perform routine EEGs and take rotational call for routine EEGs; EEG work does not apply at the Medford location.
